Used on most models 1982 on. Mounted on oil filter housing for dynamic oil oil pressure sensing system. May require 1, N 013 806 4 sealing ring. (10x14mm) This oil pressure switch is a ''Factory Up-Date'' of the original that has a high failure rate. This ''Up-Date'' switch acts like an ''on/off'' switch with an in-line resistor that transmits a reduced signal to the gauge. The ''on/off'' action of the up-date switch is like that of an ''Idiot Light'' To have the pressure gauge work as normal/original - use part # LMD 5640AB . * Switch # JLM 20791 looks completely different/smaller than the original The OE Service sender has a push on connector. The connector for the aftermarket version is retained by a screw. Minor modification to the wire may be required to use the aftermarket version, but accuracy at the gauge should not be affected, and the screw connection is more secure than the push-on type. Plain (10x1) Many of the original senders for this application used 6mm-wide terminals, but these are no longer available out of Japan. The Japanese sender that we offer has 7mm terminals, which sometimes requires modification to the connecter to fit. We also offer a US-made sender which still uses the 6mm terminals, so no modification to the connector should be necessary with this sender. @ oil filter housing or on cylinder head depending on model.
