Dry nitrous oxide systems provide fuel enrichment by increasing the fuel pressure to the fuel injectors as the nitrous system activates.
ZEX™ has designed the ultimate "Smart" Nitrous Oxide System. The ZEX™ "Dry" Nitrous System, using ZEX™'s patented fuel control technology, reads the nitrous bottle pressure and adjusts the fuel enrichment accordingly. If it is a cool day out and the nitrous bottle pressure is around 700 psi range, the nitrous system will add less enrichment than if it is a warm day and the nitrous bottle is at 950 psi. This unique feature ensures that you always have the optimum ratio of nitrous oxide and fuel, never too rich, never too lean. This ensures maximum power and safety at all bottle pressures. Once armed, the kit is activated at wide-open throttle by a programmable electronic sensor that "learns" the voltage curve of your TPS sensor. This design ensures your nitrous oxide is engaged at the perfect throttle point every time. Dry Nitrous Kit
Dry Nitrous Kits rely on your factory fuel system to supply the additional fuel requirements necessary when running a nitrous system. Dry Nitrous Kits only inject nitrous.
Wet Nitrous Kit
Wet Nitrous Kits spray both nitrous and fuel together for added safety. Please keep in mind, you need to have an adequate fuel systems that can provide the added fuel necessary.

Today's nitrous kits are very safe and allow the user to be able to use nitrous without reliability worries as the nitrous kits monitor engine vitals and shut off the nitrous if there is a safety concern.
What is the difference between a "wet" nitrous kit and a "dry" nitrous kit?
A wet nitrous kit mixes nitrous and enrichment fuel by means of an injector nozzle that is mounted before the throttle body. This mixture is then drawn into the engine through the throttle body and intake manifold. A "dry" nitrous kit injects only nitrous with it’s injector while at the same time, increasing the engine’s fuel rail pressure to feed enrichment fuel through the engine’s own injectors.
What is better, a "wet" or "dry" kit?
It all depends on the application. A "wet" kit is ideal for both normally aspirated applications as well as forced induction applications. It can require a little bit more installation time than a "dry" kit, but is easier to tune if greater than stock HP settings are to be experimented with. A "dry" kit is excellent for normally aspirated combinations that have a return style fuel system. They are very easy to install and are a great "first time" nitrous system. It is not recommended that "dry" systems be used on forced induction engines.
The ZEX™ "Wet" Nitrous Oxide System has the most advance features of any "wet" nitrous oxide system on the market. All components, such as the solenoids and activation electronics, are factory pre-assembled inside the "Nitrous Management Unit". This ensures you will be spending less time in the garage installing the system and more time out having fun. The patent pending "Fuel Shear" technology used in the ZEX™ nitrous nozzle, places the enrichment fuel directly inside the high-speed nitrous oxide plume exiting the nozzle. This results in the most complete atomization of enrichment fuel possible. Super-fine atomization of enrichment fuel ensures maximum horsepower and eliminates fuel puddling that can cause intake backfires. Even the way the ZEX™ Nitrous System is activated is unique. Instead of relying on crude micro-switches or push buttons, the ZEX™ "wet" nitrous system uses advanced electronics to "learn" the throttle position sensor (TPS) voltage curve. It then programs itself for your specific vehicle and, when armed, will only activate the nitrous system at wide-open throttle. This ensures perfect engagement every time the nitrous system is used. Advanced features like this make the ZEX™ "wet" nitrous system the easiest to install, the most powerful, and the most reliable nitrous system on the market.
Chrysler’s late model Hemi engines are the perfect platform for nitrous injection upgrades. The ZEX™ Charger/Magnum Nitrous System comes factory pre-assembled, making for a simple and easy, plug and play installation (two hours from start to finish).
Standard, off-the-shelf nitrous kits will not fit the 2005-07 Ford Mustang GT. Due to a fuel system redesign, special components are needed to install a nitrous kit.
