A intercooler is a unit that is designed to cool air that is fed from the turbo and in some cases a supercharger. The intercooler is typically located in the front of the car, and is called a front mount intercooler. Some cars have the intercooler on top of the engine, and this would be called a top mount intercooler. The Yonaka intercoolers below are meant to be used as front mount intercoolers.
The Yonaka intercooler helps produce more power with more reliability than with a stock intercooler, or no intercooler at all. Horsepower will increase because the air entering the motor will be much cooler than without the intercooler, allowing you to run more boost safely, with a higher threshold against detonation and knock.
Yonaka has applications for intercoolers that range from 225 horsepower to 1000 horsepower. Yonaka offers intercoolers that already have end tanks welded on, or just the core for those of you who want custom end tanks for a custom application or install. All intercoolers that come with end tanks feature complete aluminum end tanks that are smooth for improved flow.

Typically, this intercooler is a race only design, and has been on such cars as the single turbo Toyota Supra, Mazda RX7, Nissan Skyline, and race only Honda.
