NRG Engine Damper
The NRG Engine Damper is a great way to extend the life of your engine mounts, both factory and aftermarket.
The NRG Engine Damper attaches from a point on your chassis, to a point on your engine acting as a shock absorber between the two parts. This helps take stress and load off of your engine mounts
allowing them to do their job more properly. Some consider the NRG Engine Damper to actually be another engine mount. Typically, this unit attaches between the strut tower, and a close engine mount point. You will notice such things as the engine response improving since there is less power loss to the drivetrain, and extra control during hard launches since the engine has less play, and movements are dampened. Instantly, you will notice that your shifts are crisper because when you shift, your engine and transmission movements will be minimized, so you will be able to accurately slide the shifter into the right gear.
The NRG Engine Damper is available in 4 different colors for all applications except the Honda S2000. These colors are red, blue, silver and titanium. The housing is made of super strong aluminum, and the end links are made with ultra durable steel.
The beauty of the NRG Engine Damper is that it allows you to adjust the damper rates with specially included bushings that come with the kit. All applicable hardware is included, and is application specific.

What are the benefits of an engine damper?
When you add a NRG Engine Damper to your car, you are allowing the engine and powertrain to do more of it's job. You are keeping the engine planted as intended from the
factory, to allow the engine to deliver as much power to the wheels as possible.
Increased off the line acceleration
Since the power is being delivered to your wheels more efficiently, and there is less engine movement during a launch, you will experience greater launches and standing acceleration.
Reduced Wheel Hop
Tired of wheel hop destroying your axles, engine mounts, and transmission everytime you launch your car? An NRG Engine Damper can help reduce wheel hop when it holds your motor in place during launches.
Smoother Shifting
When shifting, think about what happens. You accelerate, then let off the gas, allowing the engine to rock backwards. During this rock backwards, you are trying to change gears. You can have some resistance or hesitation during this time. The NRG Engine Damper helps alleviate this by keeping your engine from rocking back as much during shifts increasing your ability to shift smooth and easy.
Less wear on exhaust system
If you think about how an exhaust system is integrated with your engine, it makes a lot of sense! The exhaust system is attached to your header or downpipe, and is on rubber hangers all the way back to the muffler. When your engine rocks back and forth, the whole exhaust system moves along the rubber hangers. The NRG Engine Damper keeps your engine planted, which saves your exhaust system from unwanted flex and vibrations.
