Fujita Cold Air Intake
A Cold Air Intake is traditionally longer and in most cases extended behind the bumper cover so that it can ingest more direct air. In addition to more direct air, the longer plenum achieves higher torque gains as well as impressive horspower figures. Depending on the complexity of the plenum route, the Fujita Cold Air Intake may come as a 1 piece or 2 piece intake system. Different diameters, filters, and bends are all key factors of the R&D process of each Cold Air Intake. The in-house Dynojet is the final judge of which intake configuration will make it to production. Air/Fuel ratios are also an important factor in testing the Cold Air Intake, ensuring that safe and near factory levels are maintained in order to not trip any electronic sensors on the vehicle. Each Fujita Cold Air Intake system comes as a complete kit with all necessary hardware, instructions, decals.
Fujita Air Super Flow air filters are designed for performance and durability. Fujita Cold Air and F5 Intake Systems utilize aerospace quality mandrel bent 6061-T6 aluminum alloy tubing on all Fujita intake pipes and CNC-machined aluminum for adapters and flanges. Unique to the Fujita Air Intake Systems is the use of industrial-grade T-bolt clamps for securing the silicone hoses between the Fujita intake tube and the Fujita intake adaptor - the same stuff used for securing the pressure pipes on high-powered turbocharged motors. On certain applications, Fujita Air has incorporated another unique feature into their intake system and that is the use of a built-in vortex generator to increase low and midrange power. All Fujita Air Intake Systems features a high-polished show-quality finish (except for special editions). Every intake has dyno-proven results available on Fujita's website.

Cold air intake systems are designed to place the air inflow away from the engine to get the most cold air. Fujita cold air intake systems feature light-weight 6061 T6 aluminum piping, Hose Techniques silicone hoses, and carbon-plated T-bolt clamps for durability and added strength. Each Fujita cold air intake system comes with the Fujita Super Flow high performance air filter.
For certain applications (see product notes below), the Fujita air intake features the uniquely designed Fujita Tornado. The Tornado is a non-moving turbine-shaped device which creates a vortex or swirling effect to the engine; the Tornado is located inside the intake tube. The result is improved air-flow into the engine’s combustion chamber, causing a more efficient mixture between air and fuel.
