AEM Thermocouple Amplifier
AEM's Thermocouple Amplifier allows you to keep track of virtually any kind of temperature you are interested in. With a 4 channal capacity, you can monitor just about any temperature you are interested in with the ultimte in accuracy. This AEM Thermocouple Amplifier lets you use less expensive K Type Thermocouple Amplifiers with much better accuracy and faster response times than other temperature measuring devices.
The problem is that many single channel amplifiers are not very accurate, and temperates can vary as much as 20 degrees celcius, which could mean the difference between a well running engines, and a blown engine. The AEM 4 Channel can read over 1% full scale even at the tip of the extreme temperatures (1832 degrees F!).
Some of the more popular areas to measure temperature at with the AEM Thermocouple Amplifier would be coolant or water temperature, air temperature, fuel temperature, exhaust gas temperature, and for road racers or autocross, brake rotor temperature. You can meansure up to 4 channels at once.
The AEM Thermocouple Amplifier can read from about -20 degrees C to about 1000 degrees C. You can connect extermal dataloggers via the RS-232 port. The unit has a built in fault indicator if a sensor used is faulty, for added safety.
