ACT Xtreme Duty Clutch Kit
ACT Xtreme Duty Clutch Kit is considered the Stage 2 ACT Clutch Kit. With ACT the Xtreme Duty means awesome holding power, smooth engagement and hard launches. This clutch can take abuse! Our ACT Xtreme Duty Clutch Kit comes with an ACT Pressure Plate, ACT Clutch Disc and where applicable a Pilot Bearing, Release Bearing and alignment tool.
We have a large in stock selection of ACT Xtreme Duty Clutch Kits. We stock the street disc clutch kits which offer very smooth engagement and is recommended for traffic and everyday use. We also stock the 6 Puck and 4 Puck ACT Xtreme Duty Clutch Kit. These ACT Xtreme Duty Clutch Kits hold more power than the Stage 1 but as the number of pucks decreases so does driveability in favor of incredible holding power.

NO MERCY! ACT Xtreme Pressure Plates deliver the maximum holding power available! For high horsepower streetcars, combine this high clamp pressure plate with an ACT Street Disc to maintain smooth engagement and obtain high torque capacity. For racing, combine the ACT Xtreme Pressure Plate with the ACT Xtreme Race Disc for the ultimate in torque capacity, durability and quick shifting. What makes these units so unique? The radical increase in clamp load developed from a single specially designed diaphragm. ACT employs several secrets (just good engineering) to maximize load and reduce flex. The result is maximum torque capacity and long life, while maintaining good release clearance for fast, clean shifting. On some units, such as the Eclipse/Talon, ACT gussets the pressure plate cover to reduce flex caused by the high pressure. ACT Xtreme Pressure Plates are made with the same high standard as ACT Heavy Duty Pressure Plates. ACT Xtreme Pressure Plates can be found on many of the fastest cars on the track. ACT Xtreme Pressure Plates are identified throughout the application chart when the pressure plate number is followed by a suffix "X". The maximum holding power available! Our solution: apply more diaphragm pressure. With a less aggressive street disc, this makes a great combination for high HP street cars that prefer smooth engagement. For racing, combine our ACT Clutch Xtreme Pressure Plate with our Xtreme Disc for the ultimate in torque capacity and durability. What makes these ACT Clutch units so unique is a radical increase in pressure without altering the proper geometry or stacking of diaphragms. The result is maximum holding pressure and long life, while maintaining good release clearance for fast, clean shifting. This can only be done with a specially engineered diaphragm. On some units, like the one shown above, we actually include gusseting the cover to reduce flex caused by the the high pressure. These clutches are made with the same high standard as our heavy duty pressure plates. You will find these on many of the fastest cars on the track. How do they feel? A little stiff, but smooth! Xtreme Pressure Plates can be identified throughout the application chart when the pressure plate number is followed by a suffix "X".
